Five Poems by Kristiane Taylor
Uniforms
Many employers prefer their staff to wear uniforms because they are more flammable.
Panic Attacks
When your psychologist tells you not to worry, that it won’t happen, that you won’t really run amok,
that what you are experiencing is very common, remember to forget that in reality some people really
do crack and run amok. It wouldn’t do you any harm to buy a sniper rifle just in case would it?
Anxiety
Don’t worry, be happy, fuck off.
Useless Advice
For christ’s sake gonnae just pull yourself together.
Movies
The most notable aspect of my transition has been that I don’t think Steven Segal movies are as funny any more.
